
Classroom Jobs
Job Chart
Each student will have a name card that will rotate between the jobs every two weeks. There are a total of 11 jobs in which all students will have a chance to participate in.

Job Descriptions

Teacher's Assistant- This job will require the students to help the teacher with any task she requires help for. This could be something like sending a message, turning the lights on and off, helping other students who may not understand instructions, wiping the board, etc. These students will aid the teacher in the best way possible

Librarian- This job will require students to help organize classroom books, choose a book for the teacher to read, put away books that may be scattered around the classroom, gather checked out library books, etc. These students will keep our book safe and sound.

Trash Monitor- This job will require students to monitor our classroom cleanliness. This could require students to pick up trash on the floor, tell student that there is trash that needs to be picked up, alerting the teacher when there is a spill, etc.

Lunch Patrol- This job will require students to carry the lunch kit bin to lunch, help the teacher with lunch count, guide students to lunch, etc. Students will make sure our lunch time runs smoothly.

Lights- This job will require students to adjust the lights depending on the situation in the classroom. For instance, a student would turn the lights off in order for the class see a video better.

Paper Passer- This job will require students to pass out and pick up any papers that are needed to be given or taken up. The only papers students will not be in charge of is graded work, tests, quizzes, and confidential or personal information regarding a student.

Door Holder- This job will require students to hold the door for the class when we walk into the building, classroom, etc.

Messenger- This job will require students to deliver notes, messages, papers, etc. to other staff as well as students that the teacher requests.

Board Cleaner- This job will require students to erase the board for the next day as well as move the students lunch magnets back to the top of the board.

Substitute- This job will require students to replace any students job if he or she is absent.

Materials Manager- This job will require students to make sure students have the materials they need to complete their work. If students do not have their materials he or she will help with what he can or ask the teacher.
